For all of your work-related training courses, Certified Site Safety is here to provide you professional programs and highly educated instructors. Our courses cover several different subjects, all centric to on-site safety practices for construction work sites in New York. We provide OSHA training courses and are recognized as a Certified Women’s Business Enterprise and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise.

Online Courses
OSHA TRAINING:
1.5-HR Worker Silica Fundamentals Training
When it comes to construction working, safety is the top priority at all times. OSHA regulations and other certifications are designed to save lives and prevent accidents. That’s what led to the enforcement of the Respirable Crystalline Silica construction standard, 29 CFR § 1926.1153, starting September 23, 2017. It is estimated to save over 600 lives and prevent over 900 cases of silicosis each year. We aim to train workers on this new and effective standard.
10-HR OSHA Online Construction Course with Voice-Authentication
The requirements for proper education and training on work site practices are deliberate. With the NYC Local Law 196 of 2017, in-person training is required or an online course with an active proctor throughout the process, all in accordance with the NYC Department of Buildings. If you are looking to participate in the 10 hour OSHA Online Construction Course, Certified Site Safety can provide our Eastchester students with a DISCOUNT CODE.
30-HR OSHA Online Construction Course with Voice-Authentication
Our 30 hour OSHA Online Construction course follows a similar pattern to our other online courses and is regulated by Click Safety, an approved online system. This course is enabled to help our students take examination tests and work safely and effectively for their New York work site.

oSHA DOB TRAINING FOR NEW YORK JOB SITES:
4-HR Supported Scaffold User
For those who are working on a supported scaffold site, it is important to understand the basic elements of supported scaffolds and recognize the related hazards. This 4 hour Supported Scaffold User course does exactly that for our Eastchester trainees. We empower our trainees to recognize these hazards and aid in preventing any potential accidents. This process includes proper scaffold inspections and learning how to respond to emergencies.
8-HR Site Safety Manager Coordinator
To have a safe work environment, there are several steps and elements to consider. This 8 hour Site Safety Manager Coordinator course helps our Eastchester students learn about these elements and how they apply to their New York work site. This course reviews Chapter 33 and Rules of the City of New York in relation to public protection. It is also a shortened version of the 8 hour Coordinator course. This training covers protocol when working construction around major buildings as classified by the New York City Building Department. The goal is to provide optimal safety for workers, public, and surrounding property. There are specific building codes in accordance with the New York City Buildings Department and the New York City Rules, and this course trains on those codes and creating that safe work environment around the construction site.
8-HR Supported Scaffold Installer/Remover
Certain roles for supported scaffolding workers requires certification, and this course is for those individuals who are looking to receive certification or renew their current one. Specifically, it is for Eastchester individuals with a NYC DOB 32 hour Supported Scaffold Supervisor card or 8 hour Supported Scaffold Installed & Remover Refresher card. As the name implies, we prepare our trainees on how to properly install scaffolding and removal of supported scaffolding. This process is done in a way to keep workers and the public safe. There is responsibility of the scaffold user in preventing accidents and responding to emergencies properly.
8-HR Supported Scaffold Refresher
This course additionally trains on proper safety protocol for supported scaffolding work, including the protection of both public and workers on the construction site. In addition to safety measures, we provide understanding of recent revisions to building codes and stress the importance of having detailed and maintained logbooks.
16-HR Suspended Scaffold User
If you are planning on working on a suspended scaffold, then this course is designed specifically for you. This 16 hour course helps our Eastchester patients learn about the New York City Department of Buildings’ building codes and requirements, including the regulations for use of suspended scaffold equipment. In order to teach this properly, we utilize hands-on techniques and demonstrations. These demonstrations cover different scaffolding and rigging uses. As with several of our other courses, we prepare our students to take on the role of accident prevention, fall protection, hazard recognition, and timely emergency responsiveness.
32-HR Supported Scaffold Installer/Remover
There are regulations set by the OSHA and standards established by DOB in regards to the use and installation of supported scaffolds. These include removal and modification on several different types of scaffolds. We prepare our Eastchester students with the information they need to receive certification in this area. With completion of the course, we provide a 32 Hour Supported Scaffold Installer/Remover course completion picture ID card. This card is valid for four years.
32-HR Suspended Scaffold Supervisor
If you are a more experienced user of suspended scaffolds in New York, then this course is designed for you. The 32 hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor Course covers more advanced techniques and training processes. As a result, we recommend our Eastchester students having at least a year of experience. The course covers hands-on demonstration and techniques to develop more effective supervision for suspended scaffolding. We review the most recent standards for suspended scaffold standards, teach out students how to read scaffold design drawings, and proper safety standards. These standards include recognizing work hazards, evaluating fitness of crew, and inspection of scaffold hoist motors. This course is beneficial for superintendents, safety managers, and those applying for the New York City Master or Special Rigger’s license.
40-HR Site Safety Manager Course
To create a safe environment for all of our workers and surrounding public and buildings, this course covers a comprehensive review of Chapter 33 and Rules of the City of New York. As per OSHA requirements, we work on providing optimal safety around major buildings, as defined by the New York City Building Department. We enable our Eastchester students with knowledge of New York City Buildings Department code requirements, particularly in relation to pedestrian safety and the security of surrounding structures for your specific construction site.
OSHA TRAINING FOR NEW YORK JOB SITES:
4-HR Work Zone Traffic Safety: Flagger
New York City and surrounding areas have specific regulations and rules for safe flagging practices around construction sites. This course covers the necessary information and techniques. This 4 hour Work Zone Traffic Safety course review flagging skills with personal training in the classroom and aims to make it relatable for your specific New York work site. We also review the use of additional equipment.
4-HR Confined Space Awareness
When operating in a smaller area, otherwise referred to as a confined space, there are certain regulations to be aware of. Through two 4 hour lectures and videos, we demonstrate how to properly use equipment in these situations. Our Eastchester students will be able to identify hazards and learn basic skills for fall protection equipment.
10-HR Construction Industry OSHA
With the 10 hour Construction Industry OSHA training course, we help our Eastchester students create a safe workplace in all regards. We inform on typical hazards, as well as the rights of workers, responsibilities of employers, and proper complaint filing. We aim to make our trainees more knowledgeable and aware.
10-HR General Industry OSHA
This course is applicable to individuals from several different industries and workplaces. Following the 10 hour General Industry OSHA course is beneficial for warehousing, manufacturing, supervision, and inspections. The aim of this course is to decrease work-related accidents, recognition of hazards, as well as current OSHA standards and procedures. We cover the policies in OSHA Act Part 1920. We make sure our Eastchester trainees are aware of their workers’ rights, the responsibilities held by their various employers, and how to file a complaint if the time arises. This course is additionally taught by an authorized instructor for OSHA. With the completion of this course, our students are given a certification card. This card does not expire, but must have been issued in the past five years for the New York City Department of Buildings.
30-HR Construction Industry OSHA
If you are looking for more specific and detailed training, this course is for you. The 30 hour Construction Industry OSHA course is typically attended by supervisors and workers with deliberate focus in the field. We cover in detail the recognition of hazards, the avoidance of accidents, and how to better prevent incidents in your New York work site. We expect our Eastchester participants to identify the OSHA standards found in 29 CFR 1926, common accident causes, and recommend techniques for hazard avoidance and various construction processes. This course is led by an OSHA authorized instructor and they will oversee the teaching our required information. With completion of the course, our students receive an OSHA card.
FDNY TRAINING FOR NEW YORK JOB SITES:
8-HR Construction Site Fire Safety Manager [S-56]
This course provides an introduction into the Fire Code and Fire Department Rules. It covers necessary organization set up, diction, and site provisions for the fire code (FC Chapter 14 and RCNY Chapter 14). In this course, you will review safety plans, learn about record keeping, undergo extinguisher training, and how to test fire protection equipment.
FIRST AID / CPR:
8-HR First Aid/ CPR with AED for Adults
To help our Eastchester students be effective with first aid and emergency responsiveness, we utilize hands-on demonstrations and interactive elements into this course. The goal is to be able to help with lifesaving skills, particularly in relation to cardiac arrest, seizures, strokes, allergic reactions, shock, and more. We teach CPR and how to recognize and treat broken bones, sensitive injuries, and major bleeding.
