OSHA TRAINING:
1.5-HR Worker Silica Fundamentals Training
The Respirable Crystalline Silica construction standard, 29 CFR § 1926.1153, became law on September 23, 2017 and is now the standard across the New York area. In this training class, an instructor will visit your site and perform an onsite orientation that meets the worker training requirement of the new standard. Together, we can reach OSHA’s estimate of saving over will save over 600 lives.
10-HR OSHA Online Construction Course with Voice-Authentication
According to NYC Local Law 196 (2017) and NYC Department of Buildings, only in-person training and actively proctored online training will be accepted. Greenburgh’s Certified Site Safety of NY, LLC can provide you with a DISCOUNT CODE for the 10-HR Construction Online Course. It also comes with a voice- authentication provided by Click Safety, an approved online school.
30-HR OSHA Online Construction Course with Voice-Authentication
The 30-HR OSHA Online Construction courses follows restrictions placed by the aforementioned NYC Local Law 196 (2017). When you take this 30-HR OSHA course in Greenburgh, you can prepares to take the corresponding exam for this law and later perform safely on the construction site.

DOB TRAINING FOR GREENBURGH JOB SITES:
4-HR Supported Scaffold User
The 4 hour Supported Scaffold User Course is designed for New York City individuals who regularly find themselves on a supported scaffold. This course introduces students to the nature of supported scaffold hazards as well as accident-prevention techniques. At our Greenburgh classrooms, we place an emphasis accident prevention through scaffold inspections, fall protection and hazard recognition.
8-HR Site Safety Manager Coordinator
This 8 hour Site Safety Coordinator Course is a shortened version of the 40 hour Site Safety Manager Course. In this course, Greenburgh students will receive a comprehensive review of New York City’s Chapter 33 mandates as well as the applicable Rules of the City of New York. The purpose of the course is to provide training with regards to construction on major buildings. By the end, each student should know the rules governed by the New York City Buildings Department and New York City Rules. Graduates will not only know how to make a site safe for the public, but also for the workers per OSHA requirements.
8-HR Supported Scaffold Installer/Remover
The 8 hour Supported Scaffold Installed & Remover Course is designed for individuals who hold a New York City DOB 32 hr. Supported Scaffold Supervisor Card or an 8 hr. Supported Scaffold Installed & Remover Refresher Card and wish to renew their certification. In this course, Greenburgh students will receive hands on training on the safe and proper installation and removal of supported scaffolding. Particular emphasis will placed on accident prevention and management. Other topics may include scaffold inspections, fall protection, hazard recognition, and emergency response tactics.
8-HR Supported Scaffold Refresher
This course focuses on the importance of safety and how to keep both the public and your workers safe. Greenburgh students will review revisions to the New York City Building Codes and discuss how to meet them. Successful students will also leave knowing about the important practice of maintaining logbooks.
16-HR Suspended Scaffold User
Our 16 hour Suspended Scaffold User Course in Greenburgh is designed for individuals who will be working on a suspended scaffold in New York City. Students will learn the about New York City Department of Buildings’ requirements as well as the rules and regulations regarding suspended scaffold equipment. To aid in the learning process, students will also participate in hands-on demonstrations in which they will present, build, and use various scaffolding and rigging applications. And of course, like many of our courses, a large emphasis will be placed on accident prevention. Students will review how to properly inspect a scaffold, prevent falls, recognize hazards, and inevitably manage any emergencies.
32-HR Supported Scaffold Installer/Remover
In this class, our Greenburgh students will have to watch demonstrations of safe installations as well as removals and modifications of different types of supported scaffolds using OSHA regulations. Greenburgh’s Certified Site Safety also always uses the DOB standards and best work practices as a guide. All successful students will later receive a 32 Hour Supported Scaffold Installer/Remover picture ID card that will be valid for 4 years.
32-HR Suspended Scaffold Supervisor
This course is specifically designed for experienced workers whose role requires supervision of suspended scaffold projects. People such as safety managers, superintendents, and/or individuals planning to apply for New York City Master or Special Rigger’s license are encouraged to enroll. Regardless, it is recommended that other students have at least a year of practical experience in hoisting before enrollment. Using a hands-on approach, students will learn how to effectively and safely manage and supervise suspended scaffold systems. Instructors will review the latest standards in order to update their students on the best practices. By the end of the course, students should know how to read scaffold design drawings, properly train workers on work hazards, verify the fitness of the rigging crew, and inspect/maintain different types of scaffold hoist motors.
40-HR Site Safety Manager Course
This course gives students a comprehensive review of Chapter 33 and the Rules of the City of New York that pertain to public protection and safety during construction. Students will learn about construction on major buildings with emphasis on both public and worker-safety. The course also aims to teach participants about New York City Buildings Department and New York City Rules’ building codes. That way, your work site will be safe per OSHA requirements for both your workers and everybody around the site.
OSHA TRAINING FOR GREENBURGH JOB SITES:
4-HR Work Zone Traffic Safety: Flagger
This course teaches Greenburgh students about New York City’s specific flagging techniques and regulations. Instructors will review flagging skills through hands-on demonstrations and classroom activities. That way, successful students will leave with a firm understanding of flagging procedures and the best practices of the required equipment.
4-HR Confined Space Awareness
This course provides an introduction to hazard identification in small spaces as well as the proper use of fall protection equipment. Students will see two 4-hour lectures, videos, and even demonstrations of equipment used when working around confined spaces. In particular, students can expect to learn about the personal fall arrest systems used on construction sites.
10-HR Construction Industry OSHA
The 10 hour OSHA Construction Training Class is designed to make workers more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and workplace safety. Emphasis is placed on how construction workers can recognize and avoid hazards. OSHA rights and standards will also be covered in detail. OSHA standards such as workers rights, employer responsibilities, and complaint filing will be covered.
10-HR General Industry OSHA
The 10 Hour OSHA course is designed for those working in warehousing, manufacturing, supervision, or inspection. It covers OSHA’s best practices for preventing work-related hazards. Successful Greenburgh students will learn OSHA standards, policies, and procedures. Particular emphasis will be placed on reviewing OSHA Act Part 1910 and OSHA employer standards. More specifically, students will also be educated on their own rights, their employer’s responsibilities, and their ability to file a complaint. Since the course is taught by an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) authorized instructor, all successful students will even receive a 10 Hour General OSHA Industry Course card. While OSHA cards themselves do not expire, The New York City Department of Buildings requires that the card must have been issued within the past 5 years in order to work on any site.
30-HR Construction Industry OSHA
This class is recommended especially for any worker with a larger focus on occupational safety and health standards such as a supervisor or foreman. It gives students in-depth training on the recognition, avoidance, and management of safety and health hazards in the construction industry. Successful students will be able to identify common causes of accidents as well as corresponding prevention techniques. They should also be familiar with OSHA standards in 29 CFR 1926. Lastly, they will learn about OSHA workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and complaint filing. And since the course is taught by an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) authorized instructor, students will receive a card acknowledging they have completed the class. While OSHA cards themselves do not expire, The New York City Department of Buildings, mandates that the card must have been issued within the past 5 years in order to work on any site.
FDNY TRAINING FOR GREENBURGH JOB SITES:
8-HR Construction Site Fire Safety Manager [S-56]
This course provides Greenburgh students with an introduction to the fire coe and New York City Fire Department Rules. Instructors will review New York City Fire Department’s organization and terminology as well as fire code construction site provisions (FC Chapter 14 and 3 RCNY Chapter 14). The course will also include a review of fire prevention, inspection, and testing.
FIRST AID / CPR:
8-HR First Aid/ CPR with AED for Adults
This course combines lectures, interactive videos demonstrations and hands-on training to help participants learn how to save a life. It meets OSHA Guidelines for First Aid Programs and Lifesaving Skills. In this course, students will learn techniques on how to recognize and handle medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest, stroke, major bleeding, seizures, allergic reactions, asthma, and shock. Successful students will also learn how to perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies.
