Online Courses
OSHA TRAINING:
1.5-HR Worker Silica Fundamentals Training
On September 23, 2017, OSHA enforced the Respirable Crystalline Silica construction standard, 29 CFR § 1926.1153. This new rule, as estimated by OSHA, will save over 600 lives a year. It is also estimated to prevent over 900 new cases silicosis. This is dependent on its effects being utilized and abided by. We use this training class in partnership with site details from specific employers. This allows workers to receive the proper training to meet the new standard for New York.
10-HR OSHA Online Construction Course with Voice-Authentication
The NYC Department of Buildings mandates that only proctored online training and in-person training will be accepted for training, following the NYC Local Law 196 of 2017. With Certified Site Safety of NY, LCC, our trainees receive this required training. For the 10-HR Construction Online Course, we provide a discount code. This online course provided by Click Safety is an approved online school.
30-HR OSHA Online Construction Course with Voice-Authentication
The NYC Local Law 196 of 2017 also applies to the 30-HR OSHA Online Construction courses. These courses, while longer than other options, prepare our Westchester workers for the proper examination test. The goal is for proper safety and performance on the selected construction site.

oSHA DOB TRAINING FOR NEW YORK JOB SITES:
4-HR Supported Scaffold User
Scaffolding Work and Support requires specific training before safe work can be exercised. Certified Site Safety offers the 4-HR Supported Scaffold User course, crafted with those potential supported scaffold workers in mind. This course goes over the different elements of scaffold safety, including the basic elements of support scaffold safety and the hazards that are commonly associated with the emphasis. The course places specific attention on trainees playing a role in accident prevention. This role includes proper inspections, fall prevention, fall protection, and emergency responsiveness.
8-HR Site Safety Manager Coordinator
The Site Safety Manager Coordinator course is designed as a full review of Chapter 33. It focuses on the Rules of the City of New York, specifically in application of public protection. Certified Site Safety offers the 8 hour course, which is simply a shortened version of the 40 hour Site Safety Manager course. This training provides instruction and guidance for our Westchester County students in construction around major buildings. OSHA has certain requirements for safety of both the public and workers when operating around adjacent properties. The 8 hour Site Safety Manager Coordinator course provides our trainees with proper knowledge and understanding of buildings codes for the New York City Buildings, Department and the New York City Rules. The goal is to optimize safety of pedestrians, buildings, and workers when operating construction sites.
8-HR Supported Scaffold Installer/Remover
For those who hold a NYC DOB 32 hour Supported Scaffold Supervisor card or an 8 hour Supported Scaffold Installed & Remover Refresher card, Certified Site Safety offers a course for simple renewal of certification. The 8 hour Support Scaffold Installer & Remover gives our Westchester County the needed training on scaffold installation and removal, including removal of support while providing a safe environment. This course places direct emphasis on the role of the scaffold user, which can decrease accidents. We prepare our students to do proper inspections, fall protection, hazard recognition, and emergency responsiveness for any New York job site.
8-HR Supported Scaffold Refresher
With the 8 hour Supported Scaffold Refresher, we prepare our Westchester County students to optimize safety at all times. This protects both the public and onsite workers. The course reviews Building Codes, recent revisions, proper steps to enhance public protection, and upkeeping logbooks with accurate information.
16-HR Suspended Scaffold User
In addition to our courses that provide information on scaffold support, Certified Site Safety also offers courses for those who will be working on the suspended scaffold. With the 16 hour Suspended Scaffold User course, we prepare our students with the knowledge of codes required by the New York City Department of Buildings, including proper usage of related equipment. The course involves hands-on demonstrations and practice, allowing trainees to prevent their scaffolding applications, such as building and rigging applications. As with our other courses, we place direct emphasis on safety, accident prevention, scaffold inspection, and hazard recognition for New York job sites.
32-HR Supported Scaffold Installer/Remover
The 32 hour Supported Scaffold Installer & Remover course provides our Westchester County students with an understanding of installation, removal, and support of scaffolds. We instruct on modifications and type differentiation in accordance with OSHA regulations and DOB standards. When the course is completed successfully, our trainees will receive a course completion picture ID card specific to the 32 hour Supported Scaffold Installer & Remover course. This ID is valid for 4 years.
32-HR Suspended Scaffold Supervisor
For supervision of suspended scaffold projects, there is certain experience and certification required. With the 32 hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor Course, we help these experienced workers receive advanced proper training. For those looking to sign up for this course, at least a year of practical experience is recommended, specifically in hoisting and rigging. The 32 hour course focuses on management skills for our Westchester County students, using a hands-on method for beneficial and efficient supervision of scaffold systems throughout New York. We review the most recent and updated scaffold system in this course, review scaffold design drawings, learn how to recognize potential hazards, train workers on how to avoid hazards, and more. There is an emphasis on rigging crews and inspecting different types of hoist motors for various scaffolds. This course is designed for safety managers and superintendents across New York, including those looking to apply for a Special Rigger’s license.
40-HR Site Safety Manager Course
The construction of major buildings in the New York City area can be a complicated process, and this course is created to provide the best instruction and understanding of the process. We do an in depth review of Chapter 33 and the Rules of the City of New York, specifically in reference to public protection. Safety is always taken into consideration, and this extends to workers, the public, pedestrians, and even adjacent buildings to the construction site, all in accordance with OSHA requirements. Through the 40 hour Site Safety Manager Course, we provide our Westchester County trainees with understanding of code requirements, city rules, and developing a safe environment for all involved with and around the site.
OSHA TRAINING FOR NEW YORK JOB SITES:
4-HR Work Zone Traffic Safety: Flagger
New York City holds specific regulations and rules for safe flagging techniques to be used around construction sites. This 4 hour Work Zone Traffic Safety course specializes in flagging and the required techniques. We cover various topics related to flagging, including proper procedures and use of related equipment. Through the use of hands-on training in classroom, we help our students feel prepared for their various New York work zone.
4-HR Confined Space Awareness
If your construction site or working location involves operating in confined spaces, then this course will be beneficial for you. Our Westchester County students will be involved with two 4 hour lectures, which include videos and demonstrations. These include teaching about personal fall arrest systems and hazard identification.
10-HR Construction Industry OSHA
With this 10 hour Construction Industry OSHA training, we provide our Westchester County students with the necessary information and application of workplace safety. Our goal is to make employees more aware of potential hazards and their rights involved with incidents. This course informs the worker of their role in this process and their employer’s responsibilities.
10-HR General Industry OSHA
Certified Site Safety seeks to provide as many workers as possible with applicable training and programs to complete necessary courses. With the 10 hour OSHA General Industry course, we can help general industry employees learn proper training and how to recognize hazards. This course is designed for warehousing, manufacturing, foremen, job supervisors, and inspectors. It includes reviewing the procedures and policies of OSHA standards, specifically those covered in OSHA Act Part 1910. We inform our Westchester County students on their rights as workers, the responsibilities held by their employers, and the proper way to file a complaint. When the course has been completed, trainees will receive a 10 Hour General OSHA Industry Course card. These cards do not expire, but New York City Department of Buildings does require the card to have been issued in the past 5 years. Our course is led by an authorized instructor through OSHA itself.
30-HR Construction Industry OSHA
In addition to the General Industry OSHA course, Certified Site Safety offers a 30 Hour Construction Industry OSHA course. This course is created for our Westchester County attendees who are supervisors, workers, or foremen with a specific focus on occupational safety and health standards. We undergo a more detailed training process that focuses on the understanding of, recognizing, and prevention of potential hazards in various construction workplaces. The course enables participants to identify the OSHA standards in 29 CFR 1926, as well as identify common causes of accidents. We help out students know what to do when an accident may occur, which includes having knowledge of the construction working process, materials, and equipment.

8-HR Construction Site Fire Safety Manager [S-56]
For specific training on the fire department, Certified Site Safety offers the 8 Hour Construction Site Fire Safety Manager course. This provides a detailed informational session on the Fire Code and Fire Department Rules. We cover the organization, the proper terms, and code construction provisions under FC Chapter 14 and RCNY Chapter 14. We review fire safety plans for construction sites, proper record keeping, site inspections, and more.
FIRST AID / CPR:
8-HR First Aid/ CPR with AED for Adults
We provide a hands-on course to enable our Westchester County students with proper understanding of first aid and emergency responsiveness. Our 8 Hour First Aid/CPR with AED course prepares individuals with lifesaving skills and learning how to recognize situations where this basic treatment is needed. Certain medical conditions are covered, such as cardiac arrest, seizures, allergic reactions, shock, asthma attacks, and more. We provide detailed instruction on CPR and proper steps for cardiac emergencies.
