OSHA TRAINING:
1.5-HR Worker Silica Fundamentals Training
On September 23, 2017 The Respirable Crystalline Silica construction standard, 29 CFR § 1926.1153, came into effect. Once the results are realized, OSHA estimates that over 600 lives will be saved by the rule, and it will prevent more than 900 new cases of silicosis every year. Employer details that are site specific which are given at onsite orientation, along with this training class meets the new standard worker training requirement.
10-HR OSHA Online Construction Course with Voice-Authentication
According to the NYC Department of Buildings, and pursuant to NYC Local Law 196 from 2017, in-person and online proctored training will be accepted. We at Certified can give you a discount code to enter for the 10-HR Construction Online Course with Voice- Authentication by Click Safety, which is an approved online school.
30-HR OSHA Online Construction Course with Voice-Authentication
The same NYC Local Law 196 also put restrictions on the 30-HR OSHA Online Construction courses, which gets Manhattan students ready to take the exam and work safely on the job site.

DOB TRAINING FOR MANHATTAN JOB SITES:
4-HR Supported Scaffold User
This course was created for those who work on or use a supported scaffold in Manhattan. The 4 hour Supported Scaffold User Course details the basics of safety while working on this equipment, and teaches students the nature of hazards involved. The course emphasizes how the user is a main part of accident prevention, including fall protection, recognizing hazards, responding to emergencies, and scaffold inspections.
8-HR Site Safety Manager Coordinator
This is a shortened version of our 40 hour Site Safety Manager Course. It is a comprehensive review of the rules of the city of Manhattan that concern public protection and Chapter 33. The course offers training concerning construction work on buildings that may or may not be classified by the Manhattan Building Department. The course emphasizes keeping the public and adjoining property safe and administering job site safety for the workers within OSHA standards. The objective of The 8 hour Site Safety Coordinator Course is to give participants information of the Manhattan Buildings Department and Manhattan Rules code requirements, and to keep Pedestrians, Workers and Adjacent Buildings safe.
8-HR Supported Scaffold Installer/Remover
This class is made for people who currently hold and 8 hr Supported Scaffold Installed & Remover Refresher card or a Supported Scaffold Supervisor card to renew those certifications. The course offers hands on training to maintain safety procedures during the installation and removal process for supported scaffolding. The course also includes information on what role the user plays concerning accident prevention, which may include recognizing hazards and responding to emergencies on Manhattan job sites as well as fall protection and scaffold inspections.
8-HR Supported Scaffold Refresher
This course emphasizes the significance of protecting workers and the public on construction sites. In the course, participants will learn revisions to Building Codes, accident prevention, importance of maintaining logbooks, and public safety.
16-HR Suspended Scaffold User
The 16 hour Suspended Scaffold User Course was made for those who regularly work with suspended scaffolding equipment. Students will learn the code requirements for Manhattan buildings and the standards for proper and safe use of suspended scaffolds. Students will be required to participate in hands-on demonstrations including building, presenting, and using various rigging and scaffolding applications. The course emphasizes what role the user plays concerning accident prevention, meaning these items: recognizing hazards and responding to emergencies on a Manhattan job site as well as regular scaffold inspections and fall protection.
32-HR Supported Scaffold Installer/Remover
The 32-HR Supported Scaffold Installer/Remover course places focus on demonstrating the safe methods for removal, installation and modifications of many different kinds of supported scaffolds using great work practices, DOB standards, and OSHA regulations. Students will receive, when they successfully complete the course, a 32 Hour Supported Scaffold Installer/Remover course completion picture ID card. The ID card attendees receive will be valid for 4 years.
32-HR Suspended Scaffold Supervisor
This course was designed for workers that have more experience, and who have roles that require supervision of projects on Suspended Scaffolds. The recommended experience is at least one year in rigging and hoisting. The course offers a hands-on method, developing core management skills for supervisors that work with suspended scaffolding equipment. Throughout the course, we will review the latest suspended scaffold standards. Participants will be instructed how to properly train their workers on work hazards, authenticate the fitness of rigging crew, read scaffold design drawings and inspect/maintain different types of scaffold hoist motors. This course will be most beneficial to people planning to apply for Manhattan Master or Special Rigger’s license, superintendents, and safety managers.
40-HR Site Safety Manager Course
This Course is an extensive review of the Rules of the City of New York that concerns the protection of the public during construction. The objective of this course is to offer training regarding construction work on major buildings, that may be classified by the Manhattan Building Department. The course also emphasizes keeping public and adjoining property safe, and providing safety for workers under OSHA guidelines. The course provides students with information on the code requirements of the New York City Buildings Department, Manhattan Rules, in order to offer safety to Adjacent Buildings, Workers, and pedestrians near construction job sites.
OSHA TRAINING FOR MANHATTAN JOB SITES:
4-HR Work Zone Traffic Safety: Flagger
The 4-HR Work Zone Traffic Safety: Flagger course instructs people in flagging safety specific to Manhattan regulations. The topics discussed in this course will provide students with a great knowledge of flagging procedures and proper equipment, and will review flagging skills with classroom activities and hands-on training. The course also discusses coordination of traffic movement in your Manhattan work zone.
4-HR Confined Space Awareness
This course is made up of demonstrations of equipment used when working around confined spaces like the personal fall arrest systems that are often used on construction sites, videos, and two 4 hour lectures. The purpose of the course is to introduce students to identifying hazards in confined spaces and teaching fundamental skills concerning fall protection equipment.
10-HR Construction Industry OSHA
This course was made to advocate for safety and health in the workplace, and to give workers more information about their rights and workplace hazards. The course emphasizes the role the worker plays in hazard avoidance and identification, employer responsibilities, how to file a complaint, and workers rights.
10-HR General Industry OSHA
The 10 Hour General Industry OSHA class is designed to offer general industry employees (foremen, job supervisors, manufacturing, warehousing, inspectors) best practices for identifying and preventing work hazards. Participants will be taught OSHA policies, procedures and standards. General industry safety and procedures included in OSHA Act Part 1910 will be covered as well. Workers will also be educated on how to file a complaint, their rights, and employer responsibilities. After completing the course students will be given a 10 Hour General OSHA Industry Course card, which does not expire. This course is taught by an authorized OSHA instructor. The card students receive must have been issued within the past 5 years in order to work on any site as per the New York City Department of Buildings
30-HR Construction Industry OSHA
This course is designed for foreman, supervisors, or workers with more focus on the various standards of occupational safety and health. The class gives a more thorough training on the abatement, recognition, avoidance, and prevention of health and safety hazards in workplaces in the industry. It also gives participants a knowledge of employer responsibilities, workers rights, and filing complaints. Students will be able to; identify common causes of accidents and fatalities in hazardous areas of construction; identify and find OSHA standards in 29 CFR 1926; recognize various industry processes, materials and equipment, and recommend abatement techniques for such hazards. After completing the course students will be given a 10 Hour General OSHA Industry Course card, which does not expire. This course is taught by an authorized OSHA instructor. The General OSHA Industry Course card must have been issued within the past 5 years in order to work on any site as per the New York City Department of Buildings.
FDNY TRAINING FOR MANHATTAN JOB SITES:
8-HR Construction Site Fire Safety Manager [S-56]
This course details inspections and record keeping, fire extinguishers training, hot work requirements, review of fire safety plans, and procedures for testing fire protection equipment. It is an introductory course on the Fire Department Rules and Fire Code, containing information on the fire code construction site provisions (FC Chapter 14 and 3 RCNY Chapter 14), terminology and organization.
FIRST AID / CPR:
8-HR First Aid/ CPR with AED for Adults
The 8-HR First Aid/ CPR with AED for Adults class fulfills OSHA Guidelines for First Aid Programs. The class includes a blend of interactive videos, hands-on training, demonstrations, and lectures, all of which contribute to the education of the students lifesaving skills. Throughout the class, participants will gain an understanding of recognizing and providing primary treatment for medical conditions like seizures, stroke, allergic reactions, shock, asthma, and cardiac arrest. In addition, attendees will discover how to handle the injured persons breathing, perform CPR, and other cardiac emergencies. Students will learn how to identify and treat head injuries, neck injuries, broken bones, cuts and bruises, and major bleeding.
