In accordance with NYC Department of Buildings, all construction or work sites must have safety professional on site. In regard to the NYC Department of Buildings amendments to Section 3310-01 of Chapter 3300 of Title 1 of the Official Compilation of the Rules of the City of New York, regarding site safety adopted on January 26, 2015 with regard to façade projects requiring site safety plans – buildings 15 stories and higher may now use a full time qualified person to oversee site safety.
The QPSS must be present at the site during all times active work is occurring, continuing through all phases of work, beginning with the installation of the sidewalk shed and continuing until the building is enclosed and the sidewalk shed is removed.
