In accordance with NYC Department of Buildings, all construction or work sites must have safety professional on site. All construction sites considered a “major building” which involve the placement of 2,000 cubic yards or more of concrete are required to have a NYC Licensed Concrete Safety Manager as part of their team.
The concrete safety manager is responsible to be on job site to manage all concrete processes during the project. The Concrete Safety Manager shall ensure the placement of concrete and the construction stripping of concrete forms and related concrete activities are performed in accordance to NYC Building Code applicable Department rules and OSHA standards relating to concrete operations. The concrete safety manager coordinates directly with the site safety manager/site safety coordinator.
