2 Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness User Training Course
As per Local Law 52 of 2005and Local Law 196, this course is required for workers using supported scaffolds on construction sites in New York City. This training is required every 4 years.
Prerequisites
Student must be able to communicate with the instructor in the language the course is held in.
Course Description
This is an AWARENESS-LEVEL training that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for Site Safety Training Card. This course will help trainees AVOID working while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. This will help them be less receptive and safer at recognizing, avoiding and preventing (RAP) harmful consequences of drug and/or alcohol use and abuse.
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Trainees will become educated on the effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
- Trainees will have the knowledge and understanding of the consequences of drug and/or alcohol use and abuse.
- Trainees will have the ability to recognize problems associated with substance dependency.
- Trainees will understand and recognize issues of chemical dependence that may affect the lives of their coworkers, friends, and loved ones.
To receive a certificate/card for the course, students must:
- Be able to clearly communicate with the instructor and complete all paperwork in the language the course is delivered.
- Complete all required paperwork: registration, evaluation, attendance, etc.
- Attend all required hours of the course.
- Actively participate during class activities and reviews.
- Complete tests with a passing grade of 70%.
- A wallet ID card with picture will be issued directly to participant within 10 business days of successful completion of course.
