OSHA TRAINING:
1.5-HR Worker Silica Fundamentals Training
The Respirable Crystalline Silica construction standard, 29 CFR § 1926.1153, becomes enforceable on September 23, 2017. OSHA estimates that the rule will save over 600 lives and prevent more than 900 new cases of silicosis each year, once its effects are fully realized. This training class, in combination with site specific employer details provided at onsite orientation meets the worker training requirement of the new standard.
10-HR OSHA Online Construction Course with Voice-Authentication
Pursuant to NYC Local Law 196 of 2017, only in-person training and actively proctored online training will be accepted, according to the NYC Department of Buildings. LOCAL LAW 196 REQUIRED COURSES:
NYC DOB 8-HR Fall Prevention
This is an AWARENESS-LEVEL training that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for Site Safety Training Card. The course will focus in detail the components, specifications and regulatory requirements of fall controls. This will include the NYC Chapter 33 Section 3315.1 and the types of fall protection systems.
2-HR Drug and Alcohol Awareness
This is an AWARENESS-LEVEL training that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for Site Safety Training Card. This course will help trainees AVOID working while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. This will help them be less receptive and safer at recognizing, avoiding and preventing (RAP) harmful consequences of drug and/or alcohol use and abuse.
DOB TRAINING:
4-HR Supported Scaffold User
This course explains the basic elements of supported scaffold safety and introduces students to the nature of supported scaffold hazards. This course emphasizes the role of the scaffold user in accident prevention, which includes scaffold inspections, recognizing hazards, and responding to emergencies. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User Certificate picture ID card that will be valid for 4 years.
8-HR Site Safety Manager Coordinator
This course focuses on the importance of safety, protection of the public and workers onsite. Students will review revisions to the Building Codes, necessary actions to perform to ensure public safety, accident prevention, and importance of maintaining logbooks.
8-HR Supported Scaffold Installer/Remover
This course will provide hands on training on the proper installation, removal of supported scaffolding while maintaining safety procedures. During the course emphasis is placed on the role of the scaffold user in accident prevention, which includes scaffold inspections, fall protection, recognizing hazards, and responding to emergencies.
8-HR Supported Scaffold Refresher
This course focuses on the importance of safety, protection of the public and workers onsite. Students will review revisions to the Building Codes, necessary actions to perform to ensure public safety, accident prevention, and importance of maintaining logbooks.
16-HR Suspended Scaffold User
This course is required by the Department of Buildings to use or work on suspended scaffolds in New York City. Training includes instruction on how to visually inspect scaffold equipment, identify basic scaffold components, and execute safe assembly and disassembly of the equipment. Students are required to participate in all class exercises, which shall include use of various types of suspended scaffolding and rigging operations.
32-HR Supported Scaffold Installer/Remover
This course focuses on the demonstration of safe methods of installation, removal and modification of different types of supported scaffolds using OSHA regulations, DOB standards and good work practice as a guide. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a 32 Hour Supported Scaffold Installer/Remover course completion picture ID card that will be valid for 4 years.
32-HR Suspended Scaffold Supervisor
This course is required by the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) to supervise suspended scaffold projects on construction sites in NYC. During this course, participants will develop the core management skills required to be an effective supervisor of suspended scaffolding operations. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a 32 Hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor course completion picture ID card that will be valid for 4 years.
40-HR Site Safety Manager Course
This course serves to initiate perspective candidates with the safest job practices in NYC and prepares those perspective candidates to take the Site Safety Manager’s test. During the course, students will be introduced to the hazards of working the New York City construction environment and the specific methods and work practices that are necessary on an urban construction site.
OSHA TRAINING:
4-HR Work Zone Traffic Safety: Flagger
This course trains participants in safe flagging techniques specific to New York City regulations. Topics discussed in this course provides a thorough understanding of flagging procedures and proper use of required equipment, review of flagging skills from hands-on training to classroom activities, elaborates on proper coordination of traffic movement through the work zone.
4-HR Confined Space Awareness
This course includes a 4 hour lecture, videos, and demonstration of equipment used when working around confined spaces, including personal fall arrest systems used on construction sites. This course provides an introduction to hazard identification in confined spaces and basic skills related to proper use of fall protection equipment.
10-HR Construction Industry OSHA
As per New York City Local Law 41 from 2008 all individuals performing construction work at major buildings shall have successfully completed, within the previous five calendar years, a ten hour course approved by the United States Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration in construction industry safety and health, or by the commissioner covering substantially the same material.
10-HR General Industry OSHA
This course is intended to increase workplace safety awareness and compliance, and reduce a company’s risk of fines and penalties resulting from OSHA violations. Attendees will discuss and review how to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace as well as OSHA General Industry Standards specific to their industry. This course is based on the requirements contained within the OSHA Code of Federal Regulations for General Industry.
30-HR Construction Industry OSHA
The 30 Hour OSHA Construction class is more appropriate for field supervisors, foreman or workers in the construction industry with the safety responsibility affiliated with a project job site.
FDNY TRAINING:
8-HR Construction Site Fire Safety Manager [S-56]
This course provides an introduction to the Fire Code and Fire Department Rules, including their organization and terminology, fire code construction site provisions (FC Chapter 14 and Chapter 9) and all construction site fire safety requirements, as set forth in the fire code.
FIRST AID / CPR:
8-HR First Aid/ CPR with AED for Adults
This course meets OSHA Guidelines for First Aid Programs and combines lectures, interactive videos demonstrations and hands-on training to teach participants lifesaving skills. In this course, attendees will learn how to recognize and provide basic treatment for medical conditions like cardiac arrest, stroke, seizures, allergic reactions, asthma, and shock. They will also learn how to perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies. This course teaches students how to recognize and treat major bleeding, neck injuries, head injuries, broken bones, cuts and bruises.
