Description
The 8 hour Suspended Scaffold Installed & Remover Course is designed for individuals who hold a NYC DOB 32 hr. Suspended Scaffold Supervisor card or 8 hr. Suspended Scaffold Installer & Remover Refresher card, who wish to renew their certification. This course will provide hands on training on the proper installation, removal of supported scaffolding while maintaining safety procedures. During the course emphasis is placed on the role of the scaffold user in accident prevention, which includes scaffold inspections, fall protection, recognizing hazards, and responding to emergencies. Review of the NYC DOB policies and protocol including Chapter 33.

- * Identify the hazards associated with electricity, falling objects, and how to use PPE and other equipment to avoid falls in general.
- * Outline NYC Building Code supported scaffold safety requirements.
- * Understand the importance of notification of scaffold accidents and follow the procedure in case of a scaffold accident in the City of New York.
