What Does the OSHA-10 Construction Training Course Cover?

The OSHA-10 Construction Training Course must be obtained by all members of the construction industry (non-supervisor roles). The training course is designed to inform and teach construction workers how to identify hazards, avoidance, controls, and prevention at a respective level.

The Osha-10 Construction Training Course has 4 mandatory training course topics:

  • Intro to OSHA (2-HR)
  • OSHA Focus Four Hazards (4-HR)
  • PPE (.5-HR)
  • Health Hazards in Construction (.5-HR)

The OSHA-10 Construction Training Course also offers an elective course on cranes & conveyors, materials handling, scaffolds, and tools. This is a 2-HR course that will also cover storage, use and disposal of materials, and the proper execution of stairways and ladders.

You can also participate in an optional 1-HR training course that will cover other construction industry hazards that will expand on the mandatory or elective topics mentioned above.

What Does the OSHA-30 Construction Training Course Cover?

The OSHA-30 Construction Training Course is required for all supervisors on construction job sites or individuals looking to become a supervisor.

The Osha-10 Construction Training Course has 6 mandatory training course topics:

  • Intro to OSHA (2-HR)
  • Managing Safety & Health (2-HR)
  • OSHA Focus Four Hazards (6-HR)
  • PPE (2-HR)
  • Health Hazards in Construction (2-HR)
  • Stairways & Ladders (1-HR)

The OSHA-30 Construction Training Course also includes elective topics with a total of 12 hours. The elective topic will cover cranes & conveyors, materials handling, scaffolds and additional tools for the job site. These elective topics also span to concrete & masonry, confined spaces, ergonomics, excavations, fire protection, prevention, motor vehicles, marine operation, powered industrial vehicles, safety programs, steel erections, and proper precautions for welding & cutting materials.

You can also take part in optional topics that include other construction industry hazards or expand on the mandatory or elective topics above.
