Knowing when a design drawing is required by a design professional NYC 2014 Building Code – Chapter 33

The NYC 2014 Building Code states that whenever design is specifically required by the provisions of Chapter 33, such design shall be in accordance with the requirements of the building code and executed by, or under, the supervision of a registered design professional who shall cause his or her seal and signature to be affixed to such documents that may be required for the work. The following exception applies only where chapter 33 specifically indicates that the design may be executed by another individual.
